The Role

We are seeking a part-qualified or recently qualified accountant to join our Finance team in a supportive and collaborative capacity. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a variety of financial activities, including supporting the month-end close process, assisting with the preparation of management and statutory reporting, liaising with external auditors, and helping to manage accounts payable and receivable.

You will also play a key role in the ongoing enhancement of financial processes and internal controls. Team Hybrid Working Style

The expectation for this role, will involve a minimum of one day each month - working out of our London Bridge office

Key Accountabilities Include

Month end close

• Assist with all month end close processes & journals from both a revenue and a cost perspective

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Management reporting

• Assist with production of all monthly Management Information

• Assist with production of monthly ExCo commentary pack and KPI’s

• Support with the development of new business MI reports

• Other ad-hoc reporting as required

Financial Control

• Support statutory reporting obligations including half-year and year-end annual report and accounts

• Maintain and improve financial controls in line with the approved financial control framework

• Assist with the provision and co-ordination of documentation and evidence for the external auditors

• Support with bank payment processes including operational bank accounts and Bank of England reserve accounts

Business Improvement

• Assist with the implementation of projects that impact the Finance teams and support continuous improvement initiatives

Other

Support ad hoc tasks as required, particularly those relating to finance operations and ongoing projects

You'll Need to Have

Essential

• Experience in a similar role within a banking organisation

• Part- or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

• Experience working with external auditors

• Strong Excel skills

• Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills (both written and oral)

• Professional “can do” attitude and work ethic

Desirable

• Knowledge of designing and using Excel macros & VBA

• Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite

• Understanding of UK tax requirements within a banking environment
