The Role

You’ll help define who we serve, create propositions that genuinely meet customer needs, and lead the acquisition activity that brings them to life at scale. With a strong commercial mindset and a deep sense of care for our customers, you’ll balance simplicity, service excellence and customer outcomes ensuring everything we build delivers clear, measurable value for both the people who bank with us and the bank itself.

Key Responsibilities
Proposition & Growth
- Shape and deliver differentiated propositions that create real customer value and sustainable growth.
- Own and prioritise the proposition roadmap, aligned to commercial goals and target segments.
- Work collaboratively across the bank to refine pricing, value exchange and eligibility.
- Lead proposition design, testing and optimisation, with clear success measures.
- Make informed recommendations on when products or services should evolve or be retired.
Customer Acquisition
- Lead a multi-channel acquisition strategy across key product lines.
- Define funnel strategy, KPIs, media mix and optimisation plans.
- Oversee targeting, messaging and creative testing to drive efficient, responsible growth.
- Ensure acquisition activity aligns to lifetime value objectives and Zempler’s risk appetite.
Customer Insight & Targeting
- Define Zempler’s target markets and Ideal Customer Profiles.
- Turn insight into practical, actionable segmentation and targeting strategies.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to exceed onboarding, conversion and value targets.
Performance & Commercial Management
- Own acquisition performance reporting, including CAC, conversion, revenue and cohort value.
- Partner with Finance and Decision Science to model ROI and inform investment decisions.
- Identify and remove friction across acquisition and onboarding journeys.
- Drive continuous optimisation across channels, journeys and messaging.
Brand & Customer Advocacy
- Own and evolve the Zempler brand, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment to our purpose and values.
- Shape brand expression across all customer touchpoints, from digital journeys to marketing assets.
- Embed Customer Duty and a customer-first mindset across propositions and journeys.
Governance & Leadership
- Partner closely with Risk and Compliance to ensure all activity meets UK regulatory standards.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team across proposition, acquisition and insight.
- Act as a senior leader at Zempler, role-modelling collaboration and sponsoring cross-bank initiatives that strengthen customer understanding and competitiveness.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Proven leadership in proposition development, customer acquisition, or product marketing, ideally in financial services, fintech or regulated markets.
- Strong commercial and analytical capability with a track record of driving profitable growth.
- Deep understanding of segmentation, targeting, and value proposition design.
- Hands‑on experience optimising acquisition funnels, onboarding journeys, or customer lifecycle programmes.
- Skilled in navigating cross‑functional environments and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex insights into simple, compelling customer stories and propositions.
